Medical Malpractice Compass respects the intellectual property rights of others and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”). It is our policy to respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement and to terminate, in appropriate circumstances, accounts of repeat infringers.
Filing a Notice of Copyright Infringement
If you believe that content on this Site infringes your copyright, you may send us a written notice containing the following information:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or a representative list, if multiple works are involved)
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, including the URL of the page on our Site where it appears, so we can locate it
- Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
Please send notices to our designated agent at info@medmalpractice.online with the subject line “DMCA Notice.” We may remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material upon receipt of a valid notice.
Filing a Counter-Notification
If you believe your content was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification containing:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the removed material and its prior location on our Site
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification
- Your name, address, telephone number, and email address, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district (or, if outside the United States, to a court where we may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice
Repeat Infringer Policy
In appropriate circumstances, we will disable or terminate the access of users who are determined to be repeat infringers of copyrights.
Misrepresentations
Please note that knowingly making a false claim of infringement (or a false counter-notification) may subject you to liability for damages under the DMCA.
